In line with Article 175 of the Energy Law (“Official Gazette of RS”, No. 145/14 and 95/18 –another law), with the approval of the Energy Agency, the transmission system operator adopts Electricity Market Rules (Serbian version).
Electricity Market Rules more closesly regulate balancing responsibility of market participants, electricity balancing market, calculation of balancing group deviations, calculation of financial settlement of balancing responsible parties, instruments for securing payment and criteria for setting the amount and period for which the calculation of electricity for balancing purposes is asked and for the provision of secure system operations, the manner of provision of system services and other issues necessary for the functioning of the electricity market in the Republic of Serbia.
Balancing electricity market in the Republic of Serbia was established on 01/01/2013.
