On the session held on November 10, 2022, the Council of the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia has approved rules regulating procedure and method of transmission capacity allocation on border between bidding zones of the Transmission System Operator of the Republic of Serbia EMS AD and the transmission system operators of North Macedonia (MEPSO), Romania (Transelektrika), Hungary (MAVIR) and Montenegro (CGES) for 2023.
The organization of joint auctions enables more efficient use of capacity on borders between bidding zones in line with European regulations. The organization of joint auctions via the application of these rules creates greater possibilities for system users and improves conditions for the electricity market development in the Southeastern Europe and its integration into the European market.
