On the session held on December 21, 2023, the Council of the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia has adopted a decision on an approval of Gas Pipeline Transmission System Development Plan for 2022-2031 which was adopted by the transmission system operator Transportgas Srbija.
The ten-year transmission system development plan was drafted in line with the Energy Law and the Energy Sector Development Strategy of the Republic of Serbia until 2024 with projections until 2030 and with the Strategy Implementation Programme. Investments which are planned to be realized in the three-year period are included in the Plan.
The demand of the distribution system operators’ and of connected transmission systems in the country and abroad, planned natural gas production, storage operators’ demand and final transmission system customers’ demand, in particular of combined heat and power plants were the grounds for transmission system development planning.
