On the session held on 10/11/2023, the Council of the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia has adopted a decision on the approval of the Transmission Network Code of the Joint Stock Company „Elektromreža Srbije“ which regulates the relations between the transmission system operator and system users.
The main reason for the adoption of the new Code is the amendment to the Energy Law which introduced significant changes and created legal ground for the adoption of three acts related to the connection: Transmission Network Code, Rules for Connection of Facilities to Transmission System and Procedures for Connection to Electricity Transmission System. In addition to the harmonisation to the Energy Law, the reason for the adoption of the new Code is also the harmonisation with the Law on Use of Renewable Energy Sources and decrees which regulate connection of facilities to the transmission system as well with the European network codes for system operation in case of emergencies.
The Transmission Network Code will be published on the website of the Joint Stock Company „Elektromreža Srbije“ and will enter into force on the day of the publication of the decision of the Agency Council in the “Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia”.
